Meet Sean, a Chartered Civil Engineer with 19 years of diverse industry experience. Recently awarded Engineers Australia's Professional Engineer of the Year 2024 – QLD Nominee, Sean drives Technical Excellence, Leadership, and Innovation. Sean is known for championing value engineering, innovation, and collaboration.
His decade-long involvement as a TAFE Lecturer and Committee Member has been instrumental in shaping the Associate Degree of Civil Engineering. In recognition of his contributions to education, Sean was awarded TAFE QLD Brisbane’s 2019 Educator of the Year.
In response to industry training gaps, Sean co-founded Quilty Engineering Hub, delivering targeted training to help civil engineering professionals advance their careers with relevant and practical content. Through this initiative, Sean collaborates with professionals, consultancies, Councils and authorities to collectively uplift industry skills.

Sarah Hausler
Lawyer
Sarah is a specialist planning and environment lawyer focusing on infrastructure, environment and strategic planning.
Sarah’s expertise is complemented by her degrees in environmental science and urban and regional planning which complement her practical approach to the commercial and policy context in which her clients operate.
Sarah has a broad client base including local government, state government agencies and government owned corporations as well as large and small developers and industrial businesses.
She provides clear, strategic advice about project approvals, infrastructure charging and agreements, and planning instruments.
Sarah regularly advises clients on infrastructure planning, charges and agreements, environmental compliance, water and land use rights and approval requirements. She also represents clients in the Planning and Environment Court and Court of Appeal.
With a proactive outlook on matters, Sarah works with her clients to deliver the best commercial and practical outcomes.
Sarah Hausler is an active member of the Property Council of Australia Infrastructure Committee and serves on the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia, Queensland & Northern Territory South-East Queensland Branch Committee, where she collaborates with industry leaders on key infrastructure and engineering challenges.
