Engineers unite us and this month we celebrate this with the Queensland Country Bank Stadium featured for May in the Every Community Needs an Engineer (ECNE) calendar.
The horseshoe-shaped cantilever roof inspired by the tropical pandanus plant provides shading for 75% of seats, with generous overhangs over
the concourse and main entry. Sports lighting is incorporated into the stand roofing eliminating the need for light towers. Patrons are able to walk
the 600m circumference of the stadium without stairs.
Submit a nomination for the 2022 Excellence Award! The awards program highlights the projects, people and employers who deliver exceptional outcomes for Queensland communities. Anyone involved in the delivery of a project including contractors, consulting firms, local and state government agencies may nominate. Nominations close 24 June 2022.
