2023 IPWEA-QNT BOARD ELECTIONS - NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN!
As per the IPWEA-QNT Constitution, elections are held every two years to elect our Board directors. This year the Annual General Meeting will be held on December 13, 2023 at the IPWEA-QNT office and in accordance with the Constitution, nominations are now open!
We encourage all those who wish to contribute to the leadership of the organisation to nominate.
Director positions available are as follows:
President, Vice President, up to 3 “At-Large Directors” and up to 5 Branch President positions currently represented by the
following regional branches:

South-East Queensland

South-West Queensland
-
Central Queensland
-
North Queensland
-
Northern Territory
Directors are elected to hold a particular office for a two-year term and are eligible for re-appointment for a further two years. Please review the rules for nomination and election below which outlines the process.
Nominations close Friday 6 October 2023.
In accordance with clause 36(d)(i) of the IPWEA-QNT constitution, I hereby call for nominations for positions on the IPWEA-QNT Board.
Please complete the form and declarations and SUBMIT the IPWEA-QNT DIRECTOR NOMINATION FORM before 5pm, Friday 6th October 2023.

The Board Director Election Process is as follows (IPWEAQ Constitution Rule 36)
the Returning Officer shall call for nominations for all positions at least three (3) months prior to the AGM
nominations shall be on the form prescribed by the Returning Officer from time to time which may include any electronic format;
nomination forms must be received by the date and time specified on the form;
a candidate may nominate for more than one position which shall be determined in the following sequence:
President, Vice President, At-Large Directors, Branch President.
Once elected to a position, the candidate will not be considered for any other position in the sequence;
(Note: if you wish to nominate for multiple positions, please complete this form for each position.)
should there be more nominations received than the number of positions to be filled, Voting Members will be asked to vote for their preferred candidate;
at least two (2) months prior to the AGM, the Returning Officer shall instruct Voting Members on how they may vote for candidates including utilising any electronic format;
the closing date for the ballot shall be not less than one (1) month prior to the date of the AGM;
the Returning Officer shall appoint two (2) independent scrutineers to review the results of the ballot;
the successful candidates will be those who received the highest number of votes for the position or office nominated;
the result of the ballot shall be placed before the AGM to be endorsed by those present in person or by proxy;

DECLARATION
I hereby nominate for the following position(s) on the IPWEA-QNT Board to take effect at the Annual General Meeting to be held at the IPWEA-QNT office Level 1/6 Eagleview Place, Eagle Farm Qld 4009 at 11am, Wednesday 13th December 2023.
I am a financial member of IPWEA-QNT and will continue to be a financial member throughout the nomination/election process.
I am not disqualified from managing a corporation under the Corporations Act or from being a responsible entity under subsection 45.20(4) of the ACNC Regulations.
